I'm looking for a new headphone amp & dac and wondering if there's a better way to connect my devices than my current setup.
I currently connect my laptop to KEF LS50 Wireless 2 speakers via a USB Topping D10s DAC & coax cable.
For headphones (Sennheisser HD600) I instead use a usb Topping DX1 amp/dac but after 3 years of use it is starting to disconnect and crackle if the wire moves at all even with a new usb cable so I'm looking for a replacement.
Is there a well tested reliable USB powered headphone amp/dac which has digital output for my speakers the same or better quality than the d10s digital output?
Or would it be better to just connect an rca out from a headphone amp into the aux input of my ls50 wireless 2? I have previously avoided that because it's digital > analogue > digital > analogue.
Thank you for any help
