Hi to everybody.
What connection do you recomand between Eversolo A6 and Holo Audio Cyan 2 ?
As you know
Eversolo outputs:
1x USB-A
1x Optical Toslink
1x SPDIF Coaxial
1x HDMI
Holo inputs:
1x USB-B
1x AES/EBU
1x Optical Toslink
1x SPDIF Coaxial
1x I2S via HDMI.
I listen PCM, DSD and Tidal.Sound quality matters. Thank you in advance for your opinions. Best regards to everybody.

I'd say optical or coaxial, but USB should also work. USB probably offers the widest support array of modes (up to 768kHz, 32 bit, and DSD512). So choose depending on your needs.

The bits & bytes should be the same. ;) If you have a ground loop (which can cause analog, not digital, noise) an optical connection has no ground (or other electrical connection) so that can solve it.

With USB there's probably a higher chance of re-sampling. At least with a computer, the software & drivers make USB work with almost anything and they can make conversions without telling you.

Personally, I'd avoid I2S because it's a screwy non-standard but if it works there's nothing wrong with it.

Well, not necessarily. If you use optical or coaxial in, and USB out, sample rate conversion must be applied to bridge the two clock domains.

I believe the eversolo hdmi is a proper hdmi out not a i2s out so you can’t really connect to the cyan 2 i2s input
