How many of you have checked your DAC for USB certification?

Both source a computer in my case (uncertified as far as I know) and DAC need to certified. Certainly before pulling the trigger on an audiophile cable.

Not something I have ever checked. If the device has safety certification, and the USB works, I am good.

They need to be interoperable. Certification may give you some confidence that they will be interoperable, but it's not guaranteed to give you full functionality. For example many DACs have a UAC mode that provides only baseline functionality, and a proprietary mode that works only with their driver (or a reverse engineered one if you're lucky.) I see no reason to buy an audiophile USB cable at all.
