Possibly (most likely) a stupid question about wired earbud microphones.
I was just wondering if the microphones in earbud form-factors were pretty much the same. I can't find any information on the microphone part. Sometimes I can find info about dual drivers or graphene usage on the speaker part, but no efforts are taken to describe the microphone. I take a lot of calls, and I take off my bluetooth earbuds for my wired earbuds. I've been using AKG's for Samsung. They work well, but after about 2 months, the microphone housing, usually incorporated with the volume buttons, the buttons inevitably gets loose or starts creating chatter during the calls from usage/clicking and I have to clamp them down with tape. So I have 2 questions:
- Are all microphones the same in the wired earbuds, if not, can the forum recommend some earbuds with great microphones
- What is a better wired earbud design for the microphone voice pickup function? Right now there are 2 from what I see, a) a control block v down-microphone-v up, b) microphone at the earbud
