USB audio vs. 12V trigger

Hi,

my streamer is connected to the DAC over a USB audio interface. I suspect the ON/OFF status of the streamer is automatically transferred to the DAC somehow, just like a 12V trigger does. Is it possible?

It is possible for a streamer to turn off the USB VBUS supply once it goes into standby.

I'm not aware of any streamer that works this way, but is is a possibility.

It's also possible that the DAC itself detects whether there is any USB data being sent by the streamer, and after 5min of no data the DAC goes into standby on its own without the streamer doing anything.
