USB 3.0 port vs. 2.0 port

my streamer has one USB 3.0 port (2A) and one 2.0 port (0.5A) for USB mass storage. Is there any audio quality difference between these two ports with a USB SSD?

No.

There will be no audio quality difference. But if your USB SSD is USB3, it will run much faster on USB3 port.

Here, I talk about your case of using USB3 or USB2 for I/O in/from DAC unit(s) and/or Audio-Inteface(s).

Essentially and in principle there should be no difference in sound quality between them using ASIO driver or WDM/WASAPI (class), but there is "bandwidth differences" between them, i.e. difference in maximum numbers of simultaneous (and synchronized) handling of channels of specific sampling rate.

To create a sonic difference, bits would have to change during transmission. Since this isn't a USB audio transfer but purely data transfer, the corresponding control mechanisms prevent this.

The data rate of USB 2.0 is perfectly adequate.

If you don't need usb3 prefer usb2 if you're using 2.4ghz devices nearby.
