Upmixing film to ATMOS (video)

Every film is different. Where there is budget, films may be mixed in ATMOS in the main post production workflow. This is an explanation of upmixing to ATMOS for a film with a lot of monsters in the soundtrack. There is infinite detail in the Protools session, but a small number of faders are brought up for direct control while playing the picture. What I found interesting is the breakdown of sound effect types and echo return to individual fader control, and the left center right soundstage audience expectation.
