Hello everyone,
I am looking to upgrade my 3-year-old Edifier W820NB Plus and would appreciate some advice based on measurements and objective performance.

My Background & Requirements:
The main issue: The headband on my Edifiers has lost its tension over time. The clamping force is now way too weak, and they feel loose on my head. I need a pair with a secure, tight clamping force that won't budge.

Music taste: I mainly listen to heavy, aggressive electronic music with a massive sub-bass focus (perfect for high-intensity workouts/training), but I also listen to a lot of Industrial Rock and Heavy Metal (Rammstein, Metallica).

Sound preference: I want a deep, physical sub-bass rumble and vibration in the earcups that can handle low-frequency heavy tracks, but without turning busy guitar riffs and drums into a muddy, bloated mess.

My Current Shortlist (Both available at the same price locally):
- Anker Soundcore Space One: Attracted by the heavily emphasized sub-bass shelf on RTINGS and the floating earcup design which should fix my clamping force issue. However, I am concerned about the stock frequency response being too messy for rock music.

- 1MORE SonoFlow Pro (HQ51): Seems like a solid alternative with an upgraded bass response compared to the non-Pro version and great battery life, but I am worried the clamping force might be too soft and the bass response too fast/punchy rather than deep.

My Question:Given my budget of around $80, should I choose between the Anker and 1MORE based on my need for tight clamping force and heavy sub-bass capability? Or is there another hidden gem in this price bracket that objectively handles sub-bass depth and seal integrity better?

Thank you for your help!

Try some IEMs - ideal for the kind of music you like.
Truthear Gate for £20 are cheap enough to try and give away if not happy.

Among much other music, I also play Rammstein, Metallica, Tool (none of which have much extended bass though) and a lot of heavy dub and electronic stuff - all great on my Gates.
