Hi people

I'm looking to upgrade from my Mission LX3 II speakers. I'm actually quite happy with them but would like a bit more fullness to the sound.
I know the Lintons sound fuller then the Mission 700 but i'm afraid the Lintons might sound a bit too warm/ dull for my taste.
Is the Mission 700 a worthy upgrade from the LX3 II ? Will it have a more full size due to the size difference and won't the treble be too much with my Yamaha RN800 amp ?
The other reason I would prefer 700 over Linton is because they have a bit smaller footprint.
Prices are about the same currently.

My amplifier is a Yamaha RN800 + CD C603 player from Yamaha

The Lintons would sound clearer than your current LX-3 MKII, FWIW:

oh..
But do you think the 700 is a worthy upgrade from the LX3 II ?

I can share measurements of mission 700 in my room if you need

The 700s are brighter than the Lintons. And the Lintons hit harder in the bass.

I had the opportunity to hear both with the same amp in the same place and finally buyed the Lintons.

I’m not a fan of very bright speakers, and that wasn’t the case of the 700s. But the lack of bass (compared to the Lintons) made them leaner to my ears. Depending on the area of the room or the position, the Lintons would hit too hard and create reverb on the room. In these spaces 700s would be the perfect choice. Additionally Lintons like high power amps. The more watts you serve the Lintons, the better sound you get.

Here you have the Lintons at my place. Compared to the 700s upper frecuency drops and low bass is fuller. Maybe a 700s with a sub will be the better choice.

If you are happy with your current sound overall, but want more fullness I’d suggest the addition of a subwoofer.
