Hello everybody. So I bought the Hifiman Sundara and I absolutely love them (except the issue ive had with them with crinklin drivers), love the fast planar, BIG soundstage and with +9 bass from my ZH3 they re absolutely a monster both in games/music or movies. Btw, paired with my apos gremlin they sound shit

)). Anyways my birthday is coming in 4 days and wanted to treat myself with an upgrade. I ve been looking at the 500-750$ range so: 1) SIVGA Peng 2) Fosi Audio i5 3) Focal Azurys 4) Fiio Ft7 5) Focal HadenysI like the philosophy of the planar I like big soundstage i like bass and instrument separation, details. I havent had any good other type of headphones as this is my first good pair xddd so I cant compare with other. Also in my country the Focal Hadenys are 540$, the fiio ft7 750$ and the fosi i5 around 590$, Focal Azurys 450$. And also smbdy told me about Hongshu EH-1 which are 650$ but not that accesible

From what you share, you should definitely also consider the Arya Stealths, which are within the beforementioned price range..

I replaced my beloved Sundara with the HE1000 Stealth. I bought an Apos certified HE1000 Stealth for $750. Apos certified is similar to like new - couldn't find any scratches or blemishes.

which country?

sundara medium in soundstage, R50x audiotechnica has larger soundstage, i checked it on both, i barely pick up sundara after r50x, sundara now sounds like they are invading my ears, and r50x is laid back, and lots details, and large soundstage, but they are not planar, :S hell even Audio-Technica ATH-A2000x has larger soundstage, but not as large as r50x

Check out the Arya Organic. I like their bass better than the Fiio FT7. Note that I listen mostly to rock, so to me mid-bass is more important than sub-bass. You might find them a bit bright.

Sundara with the right EQ is as good as it gets in my opinion
I have to say that I've been comparing Sundara and Ananda Stealth and I found the latter to be better, specially in treble and imaging. I couldn't apply any eq to the Sundara to match the Ananda in these departments.

Can you try this and let me know your thoughts with Sundara:

Preamp: -8.0 dB
Filter 1: ON HP Fc 1.0 Hz
Filter 2: ON LSQ Fc 50 Hz Gain 8.00 dB Q 1.000
Filter 3: ON PK Fc 2200 Hz Gain 3.50 dB Q 1.500
