Hello All,

Lately I have been playing with and testing some unbalanced line level circuits. If things are good with RCA's on both ends. Seems that most all unbalanced test equipment input and output connections are BNC.

I suspect that the BNC connections are more sturdy and that increased bandwidth is not primarily import over standard RCA cables. (digital may be different)

I have been using RCA cables with cheep little $1 All Electronics BNC to RCA adaptors on one end. I recently broke down and purchased some all Canare cables from Benchmark. The RCA end is Canare RCAP C4A. The cord its self is LV-61S. The BNC end I can only see a Canare label. The Canare cables are reasonably flexible but not floppy.

I just placed a Amazon order for a pair of less expensive Blue Jeans Cables with the same Canare cable ends with a unknown cord type.

If the cables are connected once and left alone behind the audio rack stiff solid core cables may be fine. I am thinking about flexible plug and unplug 200+ times without becoming interment kind of cords

What kind of test unbalanced cables do you use?

Thanks DT
