When saving to flashdrive I use Linux FATSORT post processing to ensure MP3 files are played in filename order (01...., 02..... etc). In this case I want to burn a DataCD of MP3 files but the play order on my Sony BDP-S1700 player is burn order not filename order. Does anyone know how to ensure Brasero burn order is filename order? Thanks, Trevor.
P.S. The MP3 files were ripped into an album folder by Asunder in chronological/filename order.
P.P.S. I tried the K3B burner but got error messages & online fixes were unsuccessfull.

Thinking the problem lay with burn order. I copied the folder to a USB flash drive, then ran FATSORT on the drive to ensure sequential files. Playback on the player occurred out of filename order. Thinking the problem lay with filename & ID tag discrepancies. I inspected the ID tags with EasyTAG & edited the file tags to ensure no filename ID tag track number discrepancies then ran FATSORT. I deleted the old folder & copied the edited folder to the USB flash drive. Playback on the player occurred out of filename order.
I tried the flash drive in my BDP-S6700, it played perfectly. I did a factory reset of the S1700 & deleted Personal Info, the flash drive now plays perfectly. I burnt a CDR & it plays perfectly. So the problem was corrupted player software!

You have to sort the files by name in the file selector before adding them to the burning project. As far as I know, the burning order usually corresponds to the order in which the files are added to the project, not the file names.
