Hi all,
I have a large L shaped room, open plan kitchen/dining/living room compounded by the TV and entertainment being in an alcove at one end. Currently have a Cambridge CXA60 driving Triangle Titus EZ bookshelves on an entertainment cabinet. The recent review of these speakers suggested data to back the issues i have had with these speakers, mainly the distortion and subjective harshness especially at higher volumes.
I'd like to change speakers but I am limited with placement options between my wife, 3yo and 1yo...... It's never going to be optimal,
At the moment I have to place my speakers in the alcove, on the cabinet.
My specific questions are:
1. If placed in front of this alcove should I preference speakers with a bass shelf, ie KEF R3 Meta, or Super Lintons, or speakers without - original linton's.
2. If placed in an alcove, should I aim for the front of speakers to be level with the front of the parallel wall either side of the alcove?
Thank you for constructive comments.
