I went to see the "remake" of the movie Twister/s at the theater tonight.
It's very rare for a reboot to equal the original, let alone surpass it, but this one is that exception.
A very high adrenaline film that will keep you on the edge of your seat thru a good majority of it's
running time. Great fun with my only regret being going to the local cinema rather than the IMAX which
is only a few miles further down the roar. :( One hell of a thrill ride, be sure to see it if your not of
the faint of heart.. Can't wait till it comes out on BD to see/hear how well my home rig will stand up..

Sal, you going to get your truck outfitted like the one in the movie? I've read some good reviews of this by some credible reviewers. All describe it like you. Better than the original, and fun.

I loved the original and the flying cow scene was priceless, I’ll watch it when it’s available to rent

Naw, I road my motorcycle thru a small part of a tornado some years back in Lockport IL.
At one point my girl and I jumped off our bikes and ran behind a brick wall where we held on and cowered
in fear for about 15 minutes while getting violently beaten by wind, rain, and flying debris.
That was enough for me. ;)

Sounds like a great normal movie with none of "The Message" as Critical Drinker refers to it in his reviews. Just great entertainment. I plan on getting it on 4k blu-ray as soon as it is available. I live in Oklahoma so it is nice to see another movie about our small towns and twisters.

Only had one close tornado this year. It passed by about a quarter of a mile away. Could still hear it from my basement. Watched it in real time on RadarOmega so I could see it the whole way.

I was in a prarie storm. It came out of nowhere and was fast and bad. The hail was so fast and hard that it chewed up the Honda motorcycle seat while we cowered in the car hoping the windows held up. Then when I was a roof inspector I was on a roof doing my thing and the homeowner called to me and said to look out and man I got off the ladder and was inside having a beverage and wham another prairie storm outta nowhere. So I put in my report, "Hail Damage." LoL. That stuff chews up asphalt shingles like little ice bombs on the aggregate. Once the aggregate is gone the tar gets flushed away in hot cold cycles and rain and then the paper or if a better shingle the fiberglass shows thru and then the wood sheeting rots. I also was caught at ~8500' elevation. I was at the peak and as soon as I descended the south side the wind was about 60 mph or more and it was white out conditions with flying ice. I was having great difficulty skiing into it downhill and I had to ski skate downhill. I got frost bite on my hands and they where useless and then my goggles frosted up and I figured I was gonna be hunkering down in a deep tree well hoping for the best but I made it out and am very cautious about that sorta stuff now. Then I was watching TV in Vancouver and a RED ALERT came on the screen warning for my exact area that a very wet storm is coming and to shelter immediately. So I opened the 3rd floor corner suite windows and watched and heard the storm in detail and enjoyed it. It was awesome, never seen that kinda rain before or after and the rivers where running down the road and a big whirlpool over the drain at the bottom of my street. It was danger zone rain for sure...

Here is a image of a twister that ripped through my city as follows.

Watched this film on Dolby Extreme. It's probably the only film that really used those bass shakers to oblivion! Most scenes are just pure tactile bass nirvana!

I read that the 4DX version of this is actually pretty good - apparently they shoot water in your face, blow air, and shake the seats? Never done one of those, but it seems like this might be rather well suited to a half-ride, half-movie type experience.

Just a quick follow-up, I don't buy too many movies, with most it's one and done for me.
But I did grab this one in 4k/Atmos, if you got a good system (even a not-so-good one), this is a demo quality disc.
Or just stream it for a 2 hour thrill ride. ;)
