Hi, I am designing a speaker for the first time and would like some feedback on my design before I actually build it.

Some additional info:
- Outer wall will be 36mm/1.4 inch thick and lined with 5cm/2 inch acoustic rock wool.
- Tweeter: Tang Band RT-2202S Aluminum Ribbon Tweeter (https://www.soundimports.eu/nl/tang-band-rt-2202s.html)
- Woofers: Tang Band W6-1721 6-1/2" Underhung Midbass Driver (https://www.soundimports.eu/nl/tang-band-w6-1721.html)
- Amp and DSP crossover: Hypex FA253 2 x 250 + 100 Watt FusionAmp (https://www.soundimports.eu/nl/hypex-fa253.html)
- Lower woofer tuned from 50Hz - 500Hz; Top woofer from 500Hz to 2500Hz and Tweeter from 2500Hz to 30000Hz
- Ports in red on drawing (not really sure about length?). Ported at the bottow in the hope of closer wall placement.
- Drawing: speaker design-Model-1.jpg

Hoping for some good feedback :)

I think placing the rockwool with some gap to the panel can absorb more acoustic. Rockwool and other fiber like stuff work better at velocity maximum, touching the panel would be pressure maximum.

I guess that is true, but that would make the cabinet even bigger and how do you go about creating that gap? Would it be better to use other kinds of insulation to line the inside? Also I am talking about acoustic rockwool panels, not the classic rockwool that is used in roofs.

Are you placing the rockwool panel outside of box? Why do that? If you put inside of box and don't know how to create gap, maybe try put some nails on the panel and put the rockwool onto the nail, this is the only way I came up for now.

I wasn't going to put it on the outside. I guess nails could work.
