I wouldn't be surprised if the more expensive set has a worse treble, in person. This comparison of a $55 IEM and a $1000 IEM does not look very favorable for the expensive one (who happens not even to have smoother treble for the extra $945)

On the other hand, it has much more (Harman compliant) bass than the $320 Blessing 3. And not the shouty little peak at 3kHz. If it wasn't for the massive hole around 10kHz, there were really not much to complain. Maybe the next step could/would be to invest in one additional driver for the treble (BA, EST or MEMS), getting it smooth and have a Variations killer for about $100.View attachment 286700
Marketing plotYes, it looks the Red is massively overpriced....
Too bright no fun too hear... They seem to stay on harman side... Buy the CCR CCA OG one and call it a dayVery similar to the Salnotes Zero. Unsure about the distortion of the Salnotes though.

Yeah that's a nice bonus. Just curious how much it would differ from the Salnotes in its stock state.Yes close, but the Red has the option with the impedance adapter to make up what is missing to Harman sub-bass.
I guess it's not for you then. Everyone has a preference. For me the Harman curve is bang on neutral. Anything less sounds darker. Which I do like on some days.Too bright no fun too hear... They seem to stay on harman side... Buy the CCR CCA OG one and call it a day
Harman curve still matters in 2023. Unsure where you got that idea. Otherwise manufacturers wouldn't be pumping out IEMs with it as a target. And he doesn't make those IEMs. The companies he collaborate with does.Harman curve doesn't mean nothing in 2023 I don't believe how people get so excited when crinnacle make a collab... Usually they are worst then on paper or what people tells you. How can you buy blindely just because crinnacle make them he doesn't have the same ears as yours!
Oh i see, the adapter effect goes up to 500Hz.you used the version with the adapter, 7Hz Zero is close to the version without.
I ordered it and like the fact it does not have Harman tuning.
The treble response looks too uneven.
Dude each year it change seriously... And why pumping iems like fools if they cannot keep up with the treble range.. NonsenseHarman curve still matters in 2023. Unsure where you got that idea. Otherwise manufacturers wouldn't be pumping out IEMs with it as a target.
Damn right so so true and its like 0.02 cents out of the factoryMy only issue with these IEMs is that the company does not offer replacement tips!
They are not 100% reliable, but having tested many iems, anything that does not graph smooth does not sound smooth. The truthear x crinacle zero does not graph smooth in the upper treble and sounds very harsh to my ears while the variations graphs smooth and sounds smooth. You can't trust measurements that high up in frequency response
5128 is better than 711 but not perfect
I'm not sure about your hearing compared with anyone else and compared to 5128but having tested many iems, anything that does not graph smooth does not sound smooth.
