Did you try the other way around: large tips with shallow insertion? It gives me a strange feeling of “these things will never stay in place and I’m going to loose the IEMs right away”, but it actually works better for me…
I usually end up replacing my IEM tips with Spinfit XL (or L) silicon tips.
I have tried bigger ones, but not the biggest! I should give it a try. Thank you for the suggestion.

Thats where I got to with some IEM by the way- widest tips possible. Especially ones like the Zero which dont sit too well in my concha nor wedge too deep in my canal.

I would like to buy Bluetooth cables for my Zero, as an alternative to the cable they come with. What would be a good model with the proper connectors?
Would something like this work?

Work yes. Good, no idea!

It should do, Zero has just barely recessed 2 pin 0.78 mm sockets, so should be no problem. Just take in account the L shape of those connectors since in my case angled connectors like those always prevent the iem to rotate to the right angle for my ear canals and I never can get good seal with them. Stock Zero cable has straight connectors and is good, so if you always used them with it you can't know if angled connectors cause problems for you, so I advise to purchase from somewhere with a good and easy return policy.

Has anyone tried (or perhaps more importantly ) and /or seen measurements of the Zero blue used with the impedance adapter from the Red? Or any impedance adapters for that matter?

My guess is it adds a c3db bass shelf as it does on the Red but can't find anything on the web to confirm.

Blue 2 incoming.

I don't have any impedance adapters but can confirm that from some sources (that presumably have higher output impedance, like my laptop) Zero Blue sounds significantly bassier.

I received a pair of these phones today. My original impression - very etched, stark, little bass, good balance, clear.
I been using a pair of the Moondrop Chu II for the past three months. This one sounds very natural to me.

Measurements seem to indicate that these iems should sound very similar, although the measurements did show about a 5 dB drop below 50Hz in these (Truthear Zero) wheras the Moondrop is close to the desired curve.

I was not prepared for the huge difference in the spectral content. I much prefer the Moondrop.

However, if you enjoy your music blindingly bright, then these Truthears iems will be very pleasing as they are very, very clear.

Of course, my opinion only.

Yep they can be bright on some tracks. You can EQ it but I don’t mind it.

The Zero 2 tames the brightness but I found I missed it.

I played with the earpieces. I found a size that brought the bass back, but not all the way.

I have to be careful next time to make sure I've tested all the possible configurations before I take finger to keyboard.

These do sound very good now!

If you're saying they have little bass then you probably didn't get a good seal - when I tried them there was loads of bass, but I can understand how they might be a bit bright for some people at the other end, but I was ok with that even, although I liked them a little better with an EQ to the Harman Target used here for IEM's.

Coming from the Chu 2, it is expected that the Zero Blue will sound bass light in comparison.
True! Your brain does get used to new signatures of headphone & then when you switch to something different it could feel bass light even if it's objectively not bass light. Yeah, I was more focussing on the fact that Zero Blue is not really bass light, but might be confused as such if you find the top end too bright and/or don't get a good seal.
