My cable with microphone and buttons started to glitch after maybe half a year sending random ghost presses, so I wouldn't call it a good one no.
in terms of how it actually feels, its great. maybe truthear needs to focus on qc, it also depends on how you use it (i personally chuck em in a bag, the cable holds up great) if you really rough then its expected. we shouldn't completely dismiss this cable, and especially at 14 usd (for replacement cables of the same kind)i believe their best in the market, low microphonics.

Yeah for $14 I have to agree, the cable doesn't completely wow me, but it's better than any other cable I've had on an IEM at this price point. You can walk with these in and the cable isn't too terribly loud. Hasn't fallen apart yet. For that price it's already ahead of the game. I personally think the feel is so-so but functionally I have no complaints.

These arrived today. My overall impression is that they are very good, especially for the price of £19 for the version with the microphone, and the whole package is very professionally presented.

In terms of how they sound, they are somewhat similar to my TRUTHEAR x Crinacle Zero and Tanchjim ONE, but my BLON BL-03 still reign supreme. It's only when hearing the BLON against the other two that I realise how much better they sound, with or without EQ. The BLON to my ears also has a lovely "out-of-head" soundstage that I don't get to the same degree from the other two. I listened to all three with a wide variety of FLAC files from my Motorola Edge 60 Pro and Qudelix 5k.

Still, a clear recommendation for the price!

I use these IEMs with a FiiO BTR11 (Bluetooth receiver) for watching TV or listening to a podcast. The FiiO has an amazing range so I can wander around the house with no signal drop. Switched to Comply memory foam tips which I find are way more comfortable than standard tips.

Yes that is usually how it works, we (humans) tend to adapt quickly to whatever we listen to and find it good, until we try something else that will appear either better or worst, based on our personal preferences.
Glad that you like the Blon more than other alternative, may the Blon be with you for a long time, it is very unfortunate that it only applies to you, as opposed to measurement that can help everybody understand better what kind of FR they like best.

"It is very unfortunate that it only applies to you."

You're not making sense. How very unfortunate!

BTW, I hadn't listened to the BLON BL-03 in over 2 years as I'm primarily a headphone listener. My main cans are Hifiman Edition XS, HE400se and Deva Pro, I also enjoy my AKG K371 and K712 and several others in my collection. The GATE was bought out of curiosity, as were the TRUTHEAR x Crinacle Zero and Tanchjim ONE.

Anyway, may your favourite earphones be with you for a long time too. Long may you and your earphones reign supreme in harmony with one another. They are your destiny! Together, the universe is yours for the taking! :D
