Got back the DIY spirit after a year and wanna fix the rats nest that is my whammy. Wanna use silver coated cables for extra RF shielding in an unshielded plastic box. There are countless stores selling it but some reviews says that its not true SCC but tin plated cables in disguise.

Do you know any trustworthy stores?

TiA.

Silver coated cables for extra RF shielding? I don't understand the connection there (pun!).

Yep, silver coating makes a really good rf "insulator". Its science and i like the look of silver coated cables in transparent housing.

No, it doent. Not if you are just talking about a layer of silver plated onto the copper - that is not how shielding works.

Silver in audio interconnect or speaker cables offers no benefits compared to copper other than fractionally higher conductivity. Meaningless since it can be compensated by just a 3% change in diameter. Anyone telling you otherwise is either clueless - or lying in order to sell you something.

Tin foil works as a shield. The key is knowing about how shielding works before looking at materials.
