Truly horrible and disgusting!

Have you tried Chinese or Japanese tea, Amir? The best stuff is in countries where there are a lot of Chinese people - China, Taiwan, HK, Malaysia, Singapore. It can be a surprisingly complex and delicate drink.

The secret is to wash the tea with hot water and drain it immediately. Then pour over water at 93C, let it brew for about 10-20 seconds, then remove the tea leaves. As you keep brewing, the drink changes because different flavours are extracted. The first pour is really sweet, fresh and floral, the middle pours extract some grassy flavour, and when it starts turning bitter it's time for new tea. This is why Chinese people have different tea sets - a small tea set with multiple small pots and small teacups for high quality teas. These are meant to be tasted, not drunk. If you want to drink tea, use a larger covered mug and a cheaper tea.

What is tea?

:D

I wanna try Hong Kong milk tea (which the above clearly ain't). By itself, the tea looks strong enough to strip paint.

I have indeed. But not appreciated it as much as you just explained. :)

Another spiced (masala) tea (chai) video. I've got some in the cabinet ... I think I'll make some tonight. :)

As someone deeply rooted in tea culture, I believe the Central Asian way of drinking tea is the best. Paper tea bags are out of the question. The process is simple and pure: loose green or black tea leaves are steeped in hot water and left to infuse for 5–7 minutes before drinking. Sweeteners, sugar, lemon, or milk can be added according to personal taste.

Simpler the better.

It's not proper tea if you haven't applied centrifugal force.

Used to think of green and black tea as the methadone of coffee. Then I learned how to make Sencha properly and now I rarely have coffee anymore. Unfortunately due to the Matcha craze, it’s quite the splurge now.
