TOPPING to release a new IEM!

there are delivery difficulties:

Dynamic driver is chosen with these considerations. That's what had been saying for some yesrs. However no special treatment beyond that.

I have been very sensitive to the ear canal resonance around 6.5kHz. So this particular opens multiple possibilities to solve this.

First like mentioned above dynamic drivers have lower impedance on their own compared to BAs so the peak is lower by default. Filters actually don't damp the canal resonance so minimum filtering is used further reduces the relative peaks and allows lower acoustic impedance. Then using circuit filter to tune the response to reduces the peak as well as the targeted region.

Second there are two switches for highs. So you can set both on and have reduced 3-7k. Thus reducing the region of canal peak.

Third many people already know foam tips usually dampens the resonance and variance from the ear canal. But they tend to make the sound darker and lacks extension. Hane by itself has better extension (more linear around 10-14k) to the like of Zero red and some other dynamic driver IEMs. Then the switches allows user to bring back the air region(10khz+) further so the user can enjoy just as much if not more using foam tips. (this is actually the way I'm using)
Why did Hane choose to use switches instead of DSP? Are there any advantages to using switches over DSP? I think it would be very easy for Topping to make a good DSP!

Just ordered them from shenzhenaudio. There is some discount so you can have them for like 109.
Additionaly I had some points which I exchanged for discount coupon. So the final price was 97 bucks.
Will see how it goes ;)

Which switch combo are you leading with?
Default is 1234 OFF , it sounds clean but, no bass at all I think intended for mixing and producing - I'm just reading the manual

SW 123 = On is nice

I think they can do something, topping did a good job. Let's see when Amir publishes a measurement

They are much quieter than my other IEMs, and need significantly more power. Impedance: 80Ω - he needs a good mobile amp or desktop amp!

Apogee Groove + Hane is awesome !

Also received mine yesterday. Looks and fits very nice!
Currently listening at work: W11 Laptop / Apple Music Web Player / FiiO KA15 (PEQ off for now...), with the switches to ON-OFF-OFF-OFF. Sounds very nice...

EDIT: all subjective of course !!!

I noticed that it sounds a bit cleaner with my Apogee Groove (on Samsung S23 + Qobuz App) and has a better stage, my Fiio KA17 doesn't have enough power on Samsung S23!
this IEM really need a lot of power, i use on-on-on-off

I did not notice Hane was particularly power-hungry: I just switched to my Hiby M300 DAP (single CS43131; I also carry it to work just in case... :)) and it's plenty loud for me.
Personally, I've never been able to hear & confirm "differences" between sources, as long as they are powerful-enough, and reasonably clean. But hey, I totally respect other's assessment!

EDIT: checking the spec, 80 Ohm, 115dB/Vrms (@1kHz)… With this impedance & sensitivity, it shouldn’t be difficult to drive to very loud sound levels!

If I switch the Sennheiser IE 600 at the same volume, the difference in level is drastic, I use on-on and +6db bass boost, I could imagine that this would increase the consumption

Looks and fits very nice!
One detail though… I’m not sure what the pouch is intended for, but it’s really small… way too small to pack the IEMs + cable on first try. GRRRR, that’s gonna irritate me !!!

yes, I tried it too and then put the bag back in the package..
I really like the included cable

apple music web player use aac format, i suggest you install an android emulator like bluestack or something else, and install apple music android version on it, the lossless audio really makes difference
