Topping Pre90 XLR into Schiit Aegir Mono blocks, no sound?

It seems that RCA out into my streamer was the issue. I have sound now I am using XLR out into the streamer.

Why are you sending anything out into your streamer? Aren't you sending the Pre90 out into your amps and the output of your streamer into the Pre90?

I misunderstood.

Yes the Pre90 XLR out into the Schiit Aegir’s. There’s only one XLR input on each of the two Aegir’s I have (no XLR outputs) so I wouldn’t be able to connect the XLR’s an alternative way even if I wanted to.

Then XLR out of the streamer into the XLR input on my Pre90. The XLR inputs are the only remaining XLR connections on the Topping seeing as the XLR outputs are being used to connect to the Aegir’s, so again I wouldn’t be able to connect the XLR’s an alternative way even if I wanted to.

The issue was RCA out from the streamer into RCA inputs on Pre 90 didn’t produce any sound for whatever reason despite the option selected on the Topping.

Using the XLR output from my streamer into the XLR input on the pre 90 resolved the problem. I now have sound.

If so, it is defective. You should have it fixed since there may other issues.
