Topping MA4 Review

It's Topping responsability to improve the built quality in order to fix this issue, not the client's task to put glue or somethng else to fix it.
When a product is bought, it's supposed to be well done and reliable !
Where did I write the customer should fix it?

My apologies. I've read wrongly your post as if you suggested we could fix it with a gasket or a glue.

Maybe Topping could fix it it this way, but I think this issue happens because Topping hasn't studied properly the isolation of the rear parts and/or hasn't controlled the dimensions and the assembly of these parts by its substractor.
Topping has to rework the entire process IMHO.

Well I do appreciate the time and effort that people put in and I was aware that this was not one of Amir's reviews. I quite explicitly directed my comment toward "this review," not the author. I would not call him stupid: no doubt he has more technical smarts in one little toe than I will ever have. Point is, if you're going to write a review it's necessary to give at least a modicum of context about what the product is. An entire speaker review without mentioning that it's a powered speaker? Still can't get my head around it, sorry again.
"this review is stupid and embarrassing"

"Hey Nuyes, you've got some fantastic technical detail here but this could be even better with a bit of additional general information - is this a powered or passive speaker, for example. What are the dimensions? If you've got time could you please add this information to the post?"

Do you see the difference here?

Spinorama looks to have wrong information, it says that it's an active speaker, but it's a passive one, so not really comparable with the Topping MA4.
Indeed you re right )

It's very strange at this moment on Aliexpress (not official seller), it looks to work from Croatia at €346.45, VAT and shipping included, it says €305.39 for the same thing in Spain, €304.99 for the same thing in Italy, but it says €305.99 for Germany with "This product can't be shipped to your address", and same thing for France (except €305.69) for example.

The US pricing of $448.92 makes it around €386, shipping included, but considering it only has $46 of tax, it looks high compared to euro pricing: more than $400 shipped without tax, compared to $296 for Italy (305 - VAT makes it €254 without VAT, which means $296)

So I wouldn't trust this pricing for now

Sorry, but this review qualifies as stupid and is way below ASR's usual standards. Is this a powered loudspeaker? No mention. No mention of what amplification is in the box anything about the configuration etc. That's ridiculous. In fact the entire review reads as though it is a passive loudspeaker until you see the image on the videos.
I think you are a bit (too) harsh on Nuyes. He is usually providing quite good reviews and measurements. You could have given your criticism in a more friendly and positive manner..

A grossly outsized sense of entitlement combined with cowardly rapid-firing whatever nonsense is swirling around in one's head under the protection of internet anonymity is just wild to me. It also seems to be becoming worse by the day on most of the forums I frequent.

Sometimes even without anonymity. There is a Chinese curse: may you live in interesting times...

Yeah and assuming that remark is about me, you guys are overreacting a lot more than I did at this point.

what guys do you think to use them as main speakers in my small listening room?
As long as it is quite small and you only listen quietly, it could be fine.

A 4" woofer is never going to work super well outside of nearfield because it just can't move very much air before it distorts, as we see in these measurements.

Sure but my version has proved to be such a crowd favorite here on the forum I'm just gonna have to stick with it

"I do civil litigation in Virginia & have a fair amount of experience with defamation cases in state and federal courts here"

hmm...
Oh I get it. Geez, took me a minute. You're threatening to dox me by using the fact that I helped Amir with some legal insight about defending against potential defamation claims. Why don't you explain for us your reasoning and what you hope to accomplish.

I agree, some of the resultant criticism is also a little harsh.

But maybe you take a different tact. I mean, maybe, just maybe you say, "mea culpa, I was too harsh in tone, and for that I'm sorry and let it die down."

I like witty sarcasm as much as the next guy, but it doesn't help that much in this scenario.

Please , provide a review of your own and then you can critisize others with comments such as "as stupid" ...

Who are you?

I give you credit for acknowledging you overreacted.

That says more about you.

Hey look MA4, a Topping speaker !
It seems pretty cool! I'd like to know how much it costs, the FR is remarkable for a 4" driver and the directionality is just fantastic, but my overall feeling on this speaker will be a lot different if it's $400 per pair or $400 each.

I will also take this opportunity to point out that this forum has a "mute" button... ^_^
