I suspect that's a mistake. The frequency response measurments would look very different if it had a class D output stage. Wolf already confirmed it's class a/b output.

That's a typo, it's a class-AB, you can tell if by nothing else then the size of its heatsink.

Beacuse the internal amps are running in parallel. So they are seeing 4Ω.
