They come off easy and without any remaining cluey bits and can be put where owners heart desires (bottom for me too).

How do people use EQ in their setup if they are using external dac and amp? I'm a novice at this EQ thingy.

Equalizer APO on Windows (system wide EQ - music app, movie app, audio editing, everything) and PulseEffects on linux (also system wide). https://www.roomeqwizard.com/ is often used along with Equalizer APO to compensate room acoustics for speakers.

On OSX I use SoundSource(trialware -> paid) with AU NBandEQ which is an equaliser that comes with the OS.

There's no relationship between being Class AB or Class D and the noise performance.
