Also, you might look into Dan Clark’s Noire, reviewed by amirm. At 1’000 dollars it’s in the lcd-x bracket and might not need EQ. Also, it seems a pretty stylish headphoneI let go of my LCD-X because of their dependence on EQ, I found them unusable without it, and at the time Roon and the associated cost was the only practical EQ solution for me.
If you're like me It will get tired given some time. New $20 IEMs are released almost monthly, only incremental improvements, and always have some annoying corner cutting that keeps you from being content. They make great gifts though.TBH I'm much more excited and invested in $20 IEMs than $1k SoTA devices. I rarely have the time to use my desktop system, most of the time I use phones on the go. I really need to change my DAC / amp first anyway to a Wiim / Atom combo so I can ditch Roon
not got remotely tired of any of them yet, unlike LCD-X, Sundara, HD650, H600, Hemp and the list goes on. I just find IEMs and my phone are perfectly satisfactory. I bought the HD620S recently, and they're rarely used, they don't improve on anything and only add weight and bulk to the experience, and sweaty ears.If you're like me It will get tired given some time. No idea, I don't follow much once I've read enough to make a decision! I still like them a lot and are go to when I want a full size headphone. Anyway, we're drifting off topic....HD620S hype seems to have died down rather quickly, no?
LCD-2C eq’d IME are way better than any IEM I ever listened to, with or without eq, be that ER4SR, Zero Red, Chu II or Hane. They manage to give me a better spatial resolution, a better texture in some parts (details in the treble perhaps? I am thinking about strings in an orchestra) and better, more natural treble. I suspect it might be due to Harman’s OE target that IME is better to Harman IE target. Or it might be because of fallacy of measurements in the treble region. It’s difficult for me to try to correct this slight- how to call it- inaccuracy, it’s so much easier to just mess it up. And anyway I use IEMs on the go and in that context they are perfect, while I walk I am mindblown, but at home where I am more focused little defects come out.. But that’s when I pull out my big headphones, so I don’t mind very much, still one day I’d like to solve this little problem of mine..not got remotely tired of any of them yet, unlike LCD-X, Sundara, HD650, H600, Hemp and the list goes on. I only monitor a the bare minimum of discourse to get an idea if a new release has made impact past its's honeymoon period. Anyway, enjoy the cheapy IEMs, if nothing else they're a good opportunity to learn what you like in terms of tuning and fit.No idea, I don't follow much once I've read enough to make a decision! I believe the supplied ribbed silicone tips provided are Moondrop spring tips, aren't they? (I don't own any moondrops iems to know, but read that they're the same).
They are the tips I use and I don't get any treble peaks on the default 0000 switching. Having said that, my ears are pretty old and so I most likely wouldn't be so prone to hearing some treble peaks as younger listeners.
the Moondrop spring type tips come only in the medium size in the Hane box. They’re very comfy though.This is good to know. I ordered these and was about to order some Moondrop Soring tips in addition.

I’d say 5 to 6 mm..Hi everyone, has any of you owners measured the nozzle width of these? I'm interested in purchasing them, but I'm very particular about nozzle width.
No.Does anyone have problem with Hane 'farting' sound?
One of the headphone (right) is making this 'farting/cracking/distorted' sound while listening to music.
@JohnYang1997
Nonio says 5.80 mm for Arpgear Hane.Hi everyone, has any of you owners measured the nozzle width of these? I'm interested in purchasing them, but I'm very particular about nozzle width.
Those are indeed spring tips but iirc only one pair was included, the ones with the light grey core which is medium. Other sized tips were not MD Spring.View attachment 423795
Here you go. These are the included tips, that I believe to be spring tips, so you can see for yourself.
They are quite a wide bore, so if you want more bass with these tips then you'll have to engage switches 1 & 2 or both.
This cable, btw, is a 4.4 mm balanced, chosen for looks and feel only. I bought it from Aliexpress for less than £10, and I'm very pleased with it.
The stock cable is single ended, braided, is longer than the standard length, and isn't too bad at all. However, it has a right angled jack on it, which I don't like, and I always use balanced cables anyway.
I'd be interested to hear how you get on with the Hane. I really enjoy them.
