I've had the Topping e70 since more than a year ago, and it's worked well. Took it out of the one room last fall, and went to use it in a new location this week. Now when powered on it shows CB -4 error code.
Their website says this is a firmware issue, so I download the driver and the new 1.07 firmware, run it, and the download appeared to work (image attached), but I still get the -4 in the display, and no buttons or the remote work. So I held the volume button down until if showed the dFU, checked the PC Topping control panel, and now it showed it was only version 1.0. So I reran the firmware download while in dFU mode, and now it shows v1.7, but still stuck on -4 display.
I'm out of ideas (email sent to their service, no idea how long that will take for a response).
Has anyone else dealt with this issue before and solved it, or is this unit back to wherever for service?
