Topping E50 Review (Balanced DAC)

What's the purpose of the overvoltage feature of the E50 II? When/where would you use it?
Can you save multiple profiles/configs of the PEQ? Are they selectable with the remote?
Does it have a remote or just controlled by the app?
What is the selection of filters like? I found it odd that the E50 only has 3 filters to select from, whereas the E30 II has 6.

There is a remote control with which you can select inputs, filters, voltage, etc. I haven't used the PEQ equalization yet. Honestly, I didn't hear any difference between the filters. The new DAC seems richer in detail than the old E50 but also more musical... And a little brighter...

I had a quick look at the manual:
3 PEQ settings/profiles, selectable with the remote as 1/2/3/off.
PEQ max sample rate is 192KHz.
Option to disable the remote (someone mentioned earlier in this thread that their lights were screwing up the IR on the E50)
6 filters, which look to be the same as the E30 II's filters (also AKM DAC).
UAC1/2 selection function!

Probably better to continue discussion in this thread:

Where can this be obtained from? I don't see it available on the website.

It's useful with some poweramps where you can set it to lowest gain, then it requires a higher voltage to play loud
This is for maximum sound quality

The bad thing is that few of these modern dacs do not have a 2v/4v locked and/or max value for gear which do not like higher input voltage. For instance my TP RA3 (basically a better version of PA5 II) wants maximum 4v input with balanced.

The output can be balanced via TRS, unbalanced via RCA or both simultaneously.
Wait, so I could use RCA as Sub-Out then? Sure without any filter yeah but I have rhe Topping 300 mini and I am looking for a DAC that also have a Sub-Out but haven't found a decent one.

Yes, that's what I currently do. I'm using the -3dB attenuation on my JBL active monitors in place of a HPF crossover. LPF at 60Hz on subwoofer. It's by no means perfect but it works well enough.
