Yes, it turns on. At the same time, the connection source indicator (USB) is constantly flashing
As I said, I would first try the E30 II on another PC or Mac to make sure it works properly.

What about the E30 lite II?
The only difference is that use 1 dac instead 2 dac. Should be not really different from the E30 II? Or am I wrong?

The 2 x AK4493 in a dual mono configuration, the additional circuitry required, and the necessary development effort.
That's the difference.

With the Lite, you save a lot of money while maintaining the same functionality.
Alternatively, you can also consider the SMSL SU-1 and C100 as alternatives.

Thank you, but the lite version is still good as audio performances? I need for a second hifi system for play a raspberry via usb

Topping's measurements are very reliable, and you posted the table yourself. Given the measurements and the small difference, any audible difference can be ruled out.
Look at the lists to see how many more expensive devices are worse.

If you have some time, you can simply wait until a customer return appears on Amazon as "used like new." Then the difference should be between €0 and €20.

Addendum: On Amazon DE, an E30 II is being offered as a customer return for €119.70 and a Lite for €76.50.

@amirm notes that filter F2 is default, however the manual that shipped with my E30 II states F-3 is the default filter and it was set to F-3 out of the box...

@JohnYang1997 Are the filters in Amirm's graph labeled incorrectly? This would indicate that the default F-3 (Short Delay Sharp Roll-off ) corresponds do the slow green line in the graph.
Was this ever cleared up? I had the same question. It sounds like perhaps Amir had a finger-slip and meant to write "Using the default F3," vs. F2. Thanks.

Hi guys, I have both a new E30 II and an older E30, and a Win 11 PC. Two questions :
  1. The latest E30 II firmware seems to be 1.14: https://www.toppingaudio.com/download/e30-ii-version-v1-14-firmware-update
However, I can't find firmwares for the older E30 (also for the older L30). Can somebody point me in the right direction?

  2. How to check the currently installed firmware version for each of them?
Thank you.

I think you can check the current firmware for E30 by opening up the Topping App from the taskbar after you've installed the E30 drivers. E30 drivers: https://www.toppingaudio.com/download/e30-drivers-for-windows-7-or-above

You're right though, I can't find firmware for the E30, it used to be available from their website I'm sure because I updated the E30 firmware because it was shipped with an error to the absolute polarity (it was inverted when the product was first launched). They then released a firmware that fixed the absolute polarity for USB use but unfortunately it couldn't fix the absolute polarity for the toslink correction. So that's the sum total of the reasons for updating E30 firmware I think. Later models of E30 probably shipped with the updated firmware I'd say.

Thanks @sambol , I may have ve finally found a use for my remote. :p
Thanks @Robbo99999 , I will check shortly via the app. ;)
As for the latest E30 firmware download, this looks like a question for @JohnYang1997 ...

PS : no firmware for the L30 I guess? Just an amp?

Yeah, the L30 is just an amp, I can't even see any USB connections on when I look at the review, so you wouldn't be able to update it, but it's just an amp, I don't even know if it even has firmware, ha!

How to check the firmware version
When the unit is in standby mode, press the “<”, “>” and “Mute” buttons of the remote control in sequence.

Funny, that turns power on/off to my Cambridge CDP. But it doesn't show E30 II firmware version.

Hi. Is there’s any improvement in SQ/performance on the E30ii over the Schiit Modi3+?

Thank you in advance.
