The FW I downloaded was the re-up, not the one that was temporarily up earlier last week.

You just need to go into Advanced settings, set on/off trigger to Signal. Turn the source off (in my case the PC, it also works if you disconnect the USB cable) so the DAC doesn't receive any ON signal from the computer...

I'll try that when I get the chance this evening. I will say, though, that I manually put my computer to sleep last night, and the screen on my DX5 II was completely off when I sat in front of my computer a few hours later. This could be a YMMV situation, but I will report back as soon as I can -- either way.

@Bleib Just tried to reproduce, my DX5 II's screen went completely off.
 
The screen stays on during sleep on my DX5 II after installing FW V2.27. You'll only notice it in a dark room (it's backlight bleed through a 'black' screen). This definitely didn't happen on my unit before V2.27. I am on HW V0.15 and I have reported the issue to Topping.

I can confirm this after the FW update, same issue for me also when the PC is shut off completley.
Device is connected to PC over USB.

I was in a very dark room. Screen is completely off for me. I will check again, though. I am also wondering if there's maybe a specific setting (as unlikely as it sounds, stranger things have happened), so let me know what settings you have, and I can try that.

No new settings for the screen with 2.27
Topping knows about this, so I expect it to be fixed with the next firmware

It could be an existing setting that's the catalyst for the issue.
 
I'm on 2.27 and haven't noticed screen problem

You could be right. Screen in sleep mode with brightness set to 'auto'...

It's the same when brightness is set to 'medium' or 'high', so the issue may be with the 'auto' setting.

It seems like it.
I have screen set to high and have no issues in standby

I was going to say, maybe it's the screen brightness setting. Mine has always been set to Low, which would explain why I wasn't seeing the issue.

My setting is on medium and there is no screen issue.

Yes, this is actually the case. I've replicated it and the problem only occurs when the display is set to AUTO. All others shut down the display as the unit turns off.
Good work, I'm more busy with DX1 II (and summer), gonna see if there is just one setting that messes up USB-in with DX1 II @ 48

I'm laughing in FW v2.10 - If it ain't broke, don't fix it. But go ahead, keep updating that firmware!
