Works now. See my edit. :)

And no, I don't actually have the antenna connected, but I'm never far enough away from it for the antenna to be a factor.
After a year of ownership, I am conditioned to factory reset the DX5 II as soon as something doesn't look right! :)

BTW - I still loose the PEQ settings on mine, but only if I try to use Topping.Tune. I thought Topping.Home might be better, but that seems to have the same problem (not showing my custom PEQ saved to the device. I had also assumed that support for the Topping.home app would allow me to use the Topping Home web app, but this doesn't seem to be the case :(

Hm. No luck with topping Home app on IPad Pro. Firmware updated to 2.27, factory reset, power cycle. The app just times out trying to detect it.

Tried:
- factory reset, power off, forget dx5 ii Bluetooth device, start app before connecting to iPad via iOS Bluetooth settings
- same thing, but connect device first in iOS
- cycle bluetooth, restart dx5, restart app
- various combinations of connecting or disconnecting first, using the pairing button via remote, etc
- antenna is attached

Not sure what the issue is.

I see that some people have problems with the new firmware, after installing V 2.27, do the PEQ settings remain or do I have to set them again?

They remained for me from 2.14. But it’s Topping. Your mileage may vary.

Unfortunately, all my PEQ settings are gone... Honestly, this really pisses me off,
Hey, I warned you!

My solution to this is to have all my curves exported, numbered and named as they are on the device. When the device does “the Topping” I can import the curves again in under five minutes.

1 Bass+1
2 Treble-2
3 Warm

Etc.

Yes, but I have 12 pairs of headphones and many different settings, nothing bad has happened with the PEQ for a long time, and now I don't remember which settings were loaded to which headphones. In fact, I haven't touched the settings for so long that I forgot how to do it. :)

Without the BT antenna attached to the device the reach is very limited and the connection kinda unstable.

Make sure you have your BT antenna attached!

when i turn off the PC after roughly 50 sec DX5 II turned off itself and now after updating the 2.27 firmware, when i turn off my pc the DX5 II display keep working ( more precise the backlight of the display is activated all the time ) the device did not shut down with the pc anymore like used to be we need another firmware to fix at least this bug

Yes. I have this one as well. It used to auto-shut down but now the display stays on.
Gonna report it in to topping

I just sent them a video, display stays on

I checked mine with different display settings and everything works fine.Topping is a strange company, they fix one thing and break several others!

Just to repeat, the display stays on when the whole unit should turn off once the PC is turned off
This has never occurred before

I understood what you wrote. That's why I did the test... I turned off the laptop, after 2 minutes the DX5 turned off, and so did the display.

There is a chance that there are 2 versions 2.27, one of them was removed before and added later again i download it 25 to 30 hours ago

I had the same thought.

People having issues could download it again and reinstall it and see if that helps.

In my case I have the one that is on the website, I didn't have time to download the first version. But if someone has the first version I can try it out.

I downloaded it yesterday, everything works fine for me, except that the PEQ settings have been deleted

What are the steps to reproduce? I can check it on my unit because I have not noticed this at all. My DX5 II doesn't really go into standby mode anyway because I am still testing out the Keep Mac Audio Alive app, which prevents the DX5 II from going to sleep anyway However, it does go into standby mode when I manually put my Mac to sleep.

The FW I downloaded was the re-up, not the one that was temporarily up earlier last week.
