I think they place you are looking for is called head-fi where is all about imagination, placebo, bias confirmation and peotic description of sound instead of facts. In this case, I am comparing the sound quality, sound character and soundstage width of the FT1 between the Fiio K7 and the Fiio Ka17.
ADC? What is the specific scenario?Thank you for the review, @amirm,
You've tested and highly-recommended so many high performing DACs in the last few years that you are beginning to break our collective bank, buying all these new crop of SOTA hardware.
I am not going to listen to you anymore..., until our new friends -across the Pacific- figure out how to incorporate some ADC brawn into their SOTA offerings.

Yes, works at least on my unitSoo the Standby display Bug ist fixed ?
I don’t have that issue. The issue with settings not saving when the device has been put into standby mode still persists for me. In order for anything to stick, I have to make the changes I want, then set the DX5 II's output to LO BAL before putting it into standby mode.
Anyone else have this issue?
What's worse is even if I make changes, then go into standby mode while set to the LO BAL input, if I happen to leave it on any other input, it does a complete factory reset when it wakes up.
I don’t have that issue.
Me neither, this latest update kept all my settings
I'd consider using reset and see if it helps anything at all
I’ve never had this issue with any firmware version and loss of settings (other than the firmware updates obviously). I use optical in (but rarely), 99% of the time USB in. I use LO SE and HPA BAL.Will it keep all of the settings regardless of the output you have it set to prior to putting it into standby mode? For me, if it's on any other output other than LO BAL, nothing will save. It might be different for other people.
If I roll the FW back to v1.93, the issue no longer occurs.
Edit: I'm also only using the OPT input, so I will investigate if that's got anything to do with it when I am home from work.

It saves OK for me on both HPA outputs with simplified cross feed.I learned something this evening. Please try enabling cross feed on either of the HPA outputs, then put the device in/out of standby mode using the remote (doesn't have to be the remote, it's just the quickest way to do it), and let me know your results.
For me, when cross feed is enabled, that's when the settings don't save/unit reverts back to factory reset. If I do not enable cross feed, there is no issue. It would explain why the issue was not present when the FW is rolled back to v1.93 (since that feature is not part of that FW version). It would also explain why nothing would happen if it was set to LO since cross feed was never enabled with that output.

It might be interacting with something else. A painful way to test would be factory reset and just enable cross feed.
I was bitten by the PEQ be scrambled the curves that some here couldn’t reproduce so I don’t doubt you are experiencing a legitimate bug. My expectation is that it may be multiple configuration options interacting. You might want start changing things one at a time and seeing how many options you change before it exhibits the bug.
Edit - also I only change settings on the device, not via remote. Try both!
I'm using Chu Moy.Well, that's annoying
Which of the Simple profiles are you using? With a bit of luck, it could be just the specific profile. FWiW, I keep setting it to the last one -- JanMeier -- since that's the one I like using. I won't be able to test anything until later tonight/later tomorrow.
I'm using Chu Moy.
That’s it!Does anything happen if you change it to JanMeier?
