I think it may matter what you are upgrading from. 1.66 to 1.67 had no reset for me either, but 1.57 to 1.67 that @Minato did must, that’s 3 updates in 1 step. If I remember right the 1.62 reset settings.

I had already downloaded Topping Tune for Mac at the end of August.
It would be interesting to understand why the Mac version is 1.06 and the Windows version is 1.07.
I just connected the DX5 II and the Topping Tune settings show:
“Device hardware version: V0.15”
Does anyone have other hardware versions?

My settings were not reset with 1.66 to 1.67 update, so perhaps this is getting better. Earlier I always lost settings.

Nothing for linux though, although I can't entirely blame them given market share. Does anyone know whether Topping Tune works with Wine? It would be nice if Topping published the API like JDS Labs did for the Element IV.

I can't speak to Wine, but prior to the Mac app release and using a virtualized Windows OS in Mac, you could communicate with the device but there were issues with saving presets on the device.
yep works just fine under wine (im on arch with wine 10.14), the driver install fails (of course) but Topping Tune launches, sees the devices and lets me manage peq ... not bad at all
From what i can see it's a QT app, so they could just build a linux native if they wanted ...

Let us know if your DX5 II is able to remember the last output used after it has been turned off for a while?
Or am I doing something wrong? Mine always goes back to coax input even though I have only ever used optical for playing music. Never attached a coax...

After the update to 1.67 FW it seems to be holding the last input setting
BTW - anyone know the XLR line output specs when in preamp mode? Output Level: 5.0Vrms (at 0dBFS) ?? What output impedance?

Yes, output level is 5.0Vrms and output impedance XLR is 100 Ohm.

Including saved PEQ presets ? I don't have any problems with my unit with v1.67 so maybe I can hold off upgrading for a while. They are churning out firmwares pretty fast...
All my saved PEQ configs persisted and look correct in Topping Tune after the update. Yeah I'm slightly wary of updating to the latest firmware after
I had to copy my iLoud MTM and HD660S PEQ configs back to the device. All the other settings were retained.
