I'm fairly new to the world of DAC's and digital music generally so forgive the newb question!
For the past year I've been using a Raspberry pi with Volumio (HFiberry dac hat) into an Aiyima A07 with Q acoustic 2020i speakers. I've been pretty blown away by the results. I've ordered the Topping dx3 pro+ to replace the DAC hat in my RPi for 2 reasons. I want to add a headphone amp into my setup and because I want to see if I can hear any improvement with a better quality DAC. My question is, should I use the USB out on the Raspberry Pi to connect to the dx3 pro or, is it best to order a digi hat to link the pi to the dx3 with optical or spdif?
Thanks
