Hey guys. Have a Topping DX3 Pro Plus that I sold as I wanted to replace with a Topping DX1 II, mainly for gaming and a bit of music here and there. I figured the DX1 II would be ideal as it was just a single cable USB power and has enough juice to power my Tygr 300 and newly acquired Hd490 Pros. However with all the issues around it, I'm kinda lost as to what to get, as I'm too in the bushes to have to deal with returns.

I have a budget of $250, that I would stretch to $300 dollars if the Dx5 II didn't have its own set of issues.

I really like the soundstage and footsteps the DX3 ProPlus provided to the listening experience. So with that in mind

Choices are
1. Fosi Audio ZH3
2. SMSL RAW MDA1
3. Fiio K11 R2R

Anything else in the same price range that would be better let me know too

So, which one did you pick?

Get dx5ii from reliable source with good warranty policy and enjoy

Got the DX1 II for now and its been amazing. The DX5 II makes the most sense but not with its current issue. A revision would be nice
My DX5 II is a brick now, after 7 months, but I got a refund so it's fine. Now I'm thinking if I should get another DX5 II or a DX1 II instead.

The DX5 II was initially spotted with hardware version 0.15. Later revision 0.16 was seen, which seems to have addressed the 4.4mm jack issue. After that, a recent revision 0.17 has appeared in a unit bought from the Topping booth at the High-End Vienna 2026 conference.

So a newer revision might already be floating around in newer batches.

This is exactly what I want to hear. I appreciate it if Topping gave more confidence in what they fixed. I live in South Africa so shipping back is such a hassle for me

Maybe safer to get something that has proven itself more reliable then.

I haven't heard too many issues with the Fiio K11 R2R, but I might be wrong.
