Hello everyone.

Just bought a brand new Topping DX3 Pro + to pair with my Ananda. According to Amir's measurements, the amp should clip at about 2 Vrms at a 16 ohms load, which is the headphone's resistance. I put the Ananda's specs (93 db/1mW & 16 ohm impedance) at a headphone calculator and got the required voltage of 0.9 Vrms to achieve 110 db. So I should be fine, right? No clipping at normal listening levels?
I apologise for any mistakes in my text, I'm not a native english speaker.

Thanks in advance.

Hi @Marcio881! Welcome to ASR.

Something likely went wrong during Amir's load sweeps of the DX3Pro+.

Other tests show a much more reasonable 5Vrms at 16Ω before the DX3Pro+ starts to clip:

In any case, the Ananda is a very sensitive headphone, making even the DX3Pro+ really quite overkill.

Definitely no clipping while listening.

Many thanks!

I'm very OCD about these things.
