How to connect this 4.4mm single output to 6.35mm dual input of Topping Mini 300? How can same brand and manufacturer create such this mess?

Very difficult to find the product. Yes, it’s only $10 on Hifigo

A Google search with your own words did not work?
It’s still uncommon type of cable. Hopefully it will be included in the box for next month shipment because it’s cheap for less than $10

due to the exceptionally affordable price level of the DAC, they probably choose do not include the adapter in the box. Not every user will use the DAC line outputs. What is puzzling me is why they decide to put on the market the adapter in a time after the launch, so probably it will take a quite long time to get it, at least in Europe.

Easy DIY with three connectors and you can use any TRS-TRS or TRS-XLR cables.

It would be a real mess if they try to fit two 6.35mm dual TRS in the back of DV1 II and expect the users to figure out how to combine them for a 4.4mm balanced female. DV1 II is not designed for any pro needs.

Apparently Topping doesn't offer downloads anymore for their firmware updates (see attached image).

You now have to go via the web app which forces you to install a helper app. That in itself sucks because nobody needs an extra app running in their system just to update a device occasionally. In any case the helper cannot be installed on macOS Sequoia (see attached image).

I hope they do something about this because if I can't update the firmware the DX1 II is completely useless to me.

They made it clear to Bleib that the downloads will arrive later. I just used Topping Home with MacOS 26.x.

It's a sensible road to slowing down implementation of the update, preventing many causalties if there's something wrong with the update. And that can happen with any vendor - like Microsoft, Apple and various linux distros. Pretty sure it will arrive.

As mentioned I'm on Sequoia (15.7.7) which is still an actively supported version by Apple.
Aware of that. Which is why I specified that my experience is with a different version. Topping home not working with 15.x? For the previous firmware I just altered the filename in the download to the new version, but I don't know if they have landed it in their repo yet. Not sure what format Topping is using, unversal or... Rosetta is leaving soon.

Topping Home works fine (ignoring UX issues) although given it's a web app this depends exclusively on the browser.

Why don't you install the firmware from there, then? Mine failed, I unplugged the usb power, left it for a little while to zip off the power, and the 2nd go at it went just fine. Which means Topping has a safety feature for failures during installation....

Because to update the firmware Topping Home needs a helper app which cannot be installed in Sequoia.
Well, it's up on the web now too

You are absolutely right, just checked on my mac. I was kind of hoping they would include the firmware update features in Tune, now I believe Tune will be removed for web only. Not at all in favour. My bad not getting the entire picture. I apologize for that.

Would anticipate an upcoming helper for 15.X, but they should have made everything ready before a change like that. Access to a different mac/win would be the option I can imagine....
