Since Topping makes speaker amps, how about multichannel dac? c:
I'd take that over VU meters...I wonder, when they start adding EQ... Or parametric EQ.

Another option is the DX5 lite. Very pleased with itWhen I try to compare it to the EX5 I bought after the ASR test
from a purely utilitarian point of view, the buyer is getting:Shenzhenaudio Topping EX5 Review (DAC and Headphone Amplifier)
This is a review and detailed measurements of the Topping EX5 produced exclusively for Shenzhenaudio. The EX5 is slated to cost US $349.99 which it is released. The sample I have is from production run but is awaiting the manual for formal shipments. It was sent to me by Shenzhenaudio. The...www.audiosciencereview.com
So, as good as this one is, I rate it as "great", but I would still buy the EX5 for half the price, if I hadn't already.
- marginally (probably inaudibly) better performance
- a fancier display
- no headphone amp (means another expense, if needed)
- for double the price
I thought I had déjà vu, but no, it's exactly the same message you put under another bluetooth dac review.Great dac.
Some mild criticism :
Why implementing bluetooth ? This protocol has nothing to do with high fidelity, - it would have been really great If there was DLNA , Wi-Fi and Airplay compability.
But I guess one cant have it all for this price.
Thanks for the link. I dunno how I missed it. Decent output voltage too.Like this?
Topping DM7 8-Channel DAC Review
This is a review and detailed measurements of the Topping DM7 8-channel balanced USB DAC. It was sent to me by the company and costs US $599. The DM7 is simplicity in itself as you can tell from its rear terminals: USB input is the only one provided which is just fine with me. And seems...www.audiosciencereview.com
The E70 already does that. Works greatI read this one has a 5 Vrms output option (and also a 2.5 Vrms out) 0 any chance you will test those outs? View attachment 284855
I can do the exact same with a < $400 DAC and JRiver ~ $20/year.RME does it on their ADI-2 DAC/Pro and it’s fantastic there.
Well, MQA is basically bankrupt and TIDAL (as the only company using that format) does not seem to be willing to bail them out. TIDAL even announced that their High-Res tier will be available on with FLAC (see the corresponding discussions here on ASR). MQA RIP.I thought ESS had MQA rendering built in? ( I have a Tidal subscription). Topping used to include MQA...I wonder if it is going bye bye?
ES9039MSPRO has MQA, ES9039SPRO doesn't.I thought ESS had MQA rendering built in? ( I have a Tidal subscription). Topping used to include MQA...I wonder if it is going bye bye?
Does Foobar support Tidal?I've added it (as well as Meier crossfeed etc.) via foobar2000. Zero cost, works with any DAC.
Apologies for seeming to live in past times. I would love to see classic CD players of the late 80's and 90's reviewed occasionally just to show how far things have moved on and to put the SINAD competition into a better perspective. if Amir's too busy, then could others with similar test gear have a go perhaps?
Does the D70?Does Foobar support Tidal?
No it's just a player..Does Foobar support Tidal?
