Judging by the name, it likely swaps the Left and Right channel. Should be easy to assess using basic test tones.

If Left stays Left, even with CHL INV enabled, then my next best guess would be that it flips the phase.
Thought it was swapping channels at first too, but that’s not the case. You would think the manual would be updated with the info but it isn’t

Also, Topping Tune v. 1.03 was just released today. I'm at work, so haven't download it yet. Anyone knows what it does?

I cannot get Topping Tune v 1.03 to install on my computer (windows 11). And I made the dump mistake of deleting v. 1.02 (thinking that it would help v. 1.03 install), which is no longer available for download, so now I don't have access to topping tune at all on my computer. Anyone know how to fix this or is this software issue on topping's end? I should add that when I install it, it will open, but after I close it, there's no file path for the install program.

What's the problem? Can you post screenshots?
I would install it, and the new version would load but the file path would not be there (I.e., it’s purportedly saved the program and associated files in the topping folder of program files, but the file is not actually there after install). I even deleted version v1.02, which was a mistake because that version is no longer available for download. So I’m now without Topping Tune.

Tune software won't start after step 6?

Step 4 contains a checkbox that allows you to create a shortcut on your desktop.
lol. Im not that computer illiterate. That box is checked, but the files that are supposed to be installed do not exists in any folder in my computer. In other words after install, the program loads up but no corresponding program exist on my harddrive after I exit out.

you have no files in C:\Program Files\Topping\TOPPING Tune ?

are you the main windows account? can you right click the installer and run as admin or something?

Maybe your anti virus is deleting the files? I only use the windows built in one and that doesn't flag it

Correct. There's a "Topping" folder, but inside that folder, there's only the subfolder for the Topping Diver (which I also updated to v.5,.79, but not a separate "Topping Tune" subfolder. I also tried deleting Topping Tune v.1.02, which is a mistake because it's not longer available, and also installing v. 1.03 as an administrator. I might get my IT guy to look into whether this is a firewall/anti virus issue.

Issue resolved. I was able to get it installed successfully. My IT people just use an overly aggressive firewall/anti virus.

@Robert Weide I didn't want to read through 20 more pages of posts to see if someone already replied, but in case they didn't... I emailed Topping not long after purchasing this little doozy, asked them about the PEQ iOS App version. Topping said it's in the works but no eta for release.

After using it the last 2 months I do love it, it's the first time I've been able to get decent sample rates from Apple through my amp. Those who say that cannot hear the difference between Airplay2 (256kb) and hi res streaming are either hard of hearing, or don't have the transparency in their speakers to hear it.

That said, does anyone else get the click/popping sound between songs if the sample rate changes? It also randomly 'clicks/pops' when I hit pause and no music is playing??

I'm using the P50 Power supply to power the dac
I just received my D50 iii (latest firmware v1.39) and i have this popping noise/clicks but only on the left channel, tried swap L/R but is only on LEFT and when change format pcm/dsd and khz.

Is it on both channels you hear it? For me is only on LEFT

has anyone noticed their d50iii making clicks/pops when switching between inputs?
I have the same issues but only over the right balanced outputs, strangely enough. I contacted Topping and they replied:
Thank you for contacting TOPPING support. We are happy to assist.
If you swap the left and right channel TRS cables and the pop sound still occurs in the right channel, then the device may be malfunctioning.
I'm actually not sure whether I want to ship the unit back because it works great so far and I may get used to the clicks.

I did some more testing with my d50 iii and it seems something is loose inside, i cant hear anything rattling when i shake it but i had a new problem and one of my amps went into protection mode, so now it is back in the box and will be shipped back to France, i bought it from www.audiophonics.fr and the send me a return label to put on the box... i must say that audiophonics have excellent service.
