Topping D30 + MacBook Pro (2012) via USB - no sound???

Hey guys, I can't get sound out of my laptop (MacBook Pro 2012) via USB into the D30. Laptop recognizes D30, but still no sound ..I've gone into system preferences, sound, output, and have selected it. I also went into Audio MIDI setup, found the D30 there and tried to enable it with no luck ..is there something goofy I'm missing in these menus to enable it or what? Thanks.

Which audio player do you use? Check in the player settings?

Try restarting the laptop first. I know Mac users rarely do that. My MBPs (2016 and 2018) sometimes drop connection with D10 too.

You are sure the target device has 'use for sound output' enabled right? I often have to manually put this on when using my TV as speakers from macbook

A restart of laptop worked ..honestly can't even remember the last time I restarted my laptop lol ..thanks!

If you own a PC, it's the first thing you do, you wouldn't believe how many faults it fixes. I heard that the D30 is plug an play on the Mac, I guess you Mac owners don't have to suffer like we do.

My laptop is a MacBook ..still had to restart to fix. Life can be so hard sometimes.
