Windows 7
FooBar 2000
44.1/16 FLAC

No issue with old CA DacMagic Azur

CPU always below 10%
Now clipping at times, but SI is always 50-60%
Stops when I pause FooBar

All I did was load the Topping driver

Any help or guidance appreciated.
Thanks

I mostly have my Topping D10B connected to an old Macbook Pro.

I installed the driver on my 7 year old Lenova laptop with Windows 10. Playing in foobar works just fine. No drop outs or other issues, no clipping, and the CPU is running just below 1% with foobar going.

Wonder if it has something to do with Windows 7? My laptop originally had Windows 7.

I could ask why you are still on Windows 7. I would suggest at least moving up to 8.1 as it works better than Win7.

According to this as of 11 months ago, and still true to my knowledge you can still get a free upgrade from Win7 to Win 10.

According to this you can still get 8.1 for free.

Win8.1 uses less resources and runs faster than 7 on the same hardware.

Thanks for the reply.
It always was below 5% with my previous CA DacMazic Azur.

It's an old notebook used only as a music player with external SSHD.

I'll look into upgrading.

I have mitigated it a good bit
Disabled unused sound devices
