Well I thought in ASR tests were done with protocol, tools and operators. Not with ears.

Measurements aren't done with ears as ears/brains are unreliable.

Yes that was what I was saying, I just wrote very unclearly. I was trying to say to the poster that it is sad if they are saying that listening is the best test which is what it seemed they were saying.

I think it's ok if some people believe a test is done by ears. There is plenty of forums with this kind of people and they are happy. They just should avoid ASR because it will never be a constructive debate.

It shouldn't matter because if they are competent then they will all sound the same, or be totally indistinguishable.
