Clearly the company is run by engineers not marketing dunces. The naming doesnt matter. Only the performance.. only the measurements.
If they were good engineers, they would also ensure that they don't build such junk into the devices, which causes them to fail far too often, and above all, completely unnecessarily. For example:
- Unprofessional potting of components with potting compound.
- SMD components that are too small and too cheap, which are demonstrably much more sensitive, fail much more frequently, and cause a short circuit when defective.
- Far too little testing and troubleshooting before production and delivery. The latest example is the DX5 II.
In addition, there are various marketing disasters:
- Lack of transparency regarding problems, defects, firmware updates, etc.
- In many cases, completely unprofessional handling of defects, repair options, etc., especially after the warranty expires.
One point stands out for me in particular.
If, as a manufacturer, several devices of the same type fail at a customer's site, I would replace them immediately to begin troubleshooting as quickly as possible.
But as a customer, you're pretty much left out in the cold if you didn't buy from a retailer like Amazon, Audiophonics, etc.
Even an engineer should understand that these aren't good ideas. You don't need marketing dunces for that. In my circle of friends and acquaintances alone, I've counted well over 50 unsold units in the higher price range last year, such as the DX9 (D), A90D, A70 Pro, LA90(D), B200, B100, D900, A900, Centaurus, D90 III (D), etc.
