Amir i was wondering if you plan on carrying the new processors from Tonewinner. i have the AT300 currently just wondering about future upgrades from them. thanks in advance

i saw the information on Tonewinners youtube page they are going to the Munich iircc audio show and have two new processors offerings that appeared to me to be upgrades to the 300

This appears to be the only information that exists. Maybe wait until its actually been announced before asking for a review :D

i should have clarified i suppose. i was asking if he is going to carry the product not review it. thank you so much for the warm welcome!

Welcome to ASR. I am also curious about its performance. If you plan to buy it and you live in the US, consider shipping to Amir first for him to review? Would be of great interest for us all.

i purchased my AT300 from Amir at Summit hifi. If i were to purchase the AT600 it would only be if Summit was carrying the product. I am in the US i was just trying to figure out if Amir had plans to stock it at Summit. That being said its a solid piece of gear(AT300) for the money and the customer service thus far has been amazing.

Aamir said the AT-500 will be soon, AT-600 2 months from now (so early September I assume).

Come on, no Tonewinner buyers are willing to send one to Amir for testing? I'm not sold on Tonewinner overall but am interested, but if I did buy one I'd send it to Amir first.

Oh, here it is. Once you become a distributor or retailer you have to field 20 billion sales inquiries... "Our products are built on scientific principles just like Ascilab, why not carry us..." ... I know this because I used to be on the other end, trying to chase down contact info for this or that buyer... Good luck @amirm ! :)

Maybe not too early to put up a "sales inquiry" page with "we are not accepting new brands at this time"...? :D

The mention Dirac - but that is I assume Dirac Live only - has anyone seen any mention of DLBC and/or ART?

Do we have any information on the DSP processors onboard these ?

Tonewinner AT-500 is available for sale in the US:

This is the product I want.

Proposal: Emotiva eSP-1

Minimalist eARC-Based Surround Processor

Submitted by: Chris Barker
Date: October 31, 2025

Executive Summary

The Emotiva eSP-1 is a concept for a streamlined surround processor designed for modern home theater users who rely exclusively on their smart TV’s eARC output. By eliminating legacy inputs and focusing solely on eARC and balanced outputs, the eSP-1 offers a simplified, cost-effective, and high-performance solution for Atmos and DTS:X playback.

Key Features

Inputs

  • HDMI (eARC) – Single input for all audio formats from the TV
  • No analog, coaxial, optical, or legacy HDMI inputs

Outputs

  • Balanced XLR (11.2 or 13.2) – Configurable for Atmos, DTS:X, and Auro-3D
  • Subwoofer Outputs – Dual XLR or optional RCA fallback

Audio Processing

  • Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, DTS-HD MA, Dolby TrueHD
  • Optional Auro-3D support via firmware upgrade
  • Internal DSP: crossover, delay, trim per channel
  • Optional Dirac Live or Emotiva Room Correction (ERC)

Control & Interface

  • Web-based configuration UI
  • Front OLED display with minimal buttons
  • HDMI-CEC pass-through for volume control via TV remote
  • Optional IR remote for advanced settings

Physical Design

  • 1U or 2U rack-mountable chassis
  • Passive cooling or ultra-quiet fan
  • No legacy ports or unused connectors

Optional Features

  • USB for firmware updates
  • Ethernet for remote access and diagnostics
  • Trigger outputs for amp control
  • Modular expansion bay for future upgrades

Target Market

  • Streaming-first users who rely on smart TV apps or HDMI switchers
  • Audiophiles seeking clean signal paths and simplified setups
  • Installers needing scalable, rack-friendly solutions
  • Users frustrated by legacy clutter and unnecessary complexity

Estimated MSRP

  • $999–$1,299 USD depending on channel count and DSP licensing

Why Emotiva?

Emotiva has a reputation for delivering high-performance audio gear at accessible prices. The eSP-1 aligns with Emotiva’s engineering philosophy—clean signal paths, modular design, and user-first control—while opening a new category for minimalist, eARC-centric processors.

It’s a nice proposal but what gives you confidence Emotiva could deliver something like this? Their most recent RMC/XMC got dunked on in the measurements category. I would look for something like this from a MiniDSP or WiiM.

I currently use the now discontinued Emotiva MC-1. Despite all the hand wringing here about not measuring up it has been a pretty good product for me in my combo Home Theater and minimalist two channel system. I use a Benchmark DAC3-HGC and its home theater bypass mode to listen to two channel. Otherwise I use the MC1 for everyday TV app watching, etc. I am pretty close but the product I propose would be even better and could potentially measure better because of the reduced component count. The MC1 is supposedly based on the Tonewinner AT-300 so Emotiva could go back to that well and create something new. I think in the world of home theater processors manufacturers are focused on adding every thing they can to compete but I think there is a market for a targeted less feature rich component that just works well and sounds good. Both Wiim and Eversolo are pretty close by including eArc inputs but they have so far limited themselves to two channel. It is possible they could create an eArc processor at some point which would validate my idea.

It’s an ADI SHARC like almost everything else.

eARC alone I'd find completely useless....see no reason to run things thru a display.

This is the product I want.

Pinch of salt warning...

This retailer is advertising the upcoming arrival (December) of the AT600, with the INCLUSION of the full suite of Dirac software, including DLBC and ART.

On the other hand, the manufacturers own website does not even mention the AT600 at all.
