I believe the ‘signature’ range was a stab primarily at the domestic market, the early renderings ( the HRe was initially called the Hyperion) looked quite smart, but… Danley is primarily live sound aren’t they.

I was at Danley Sound Labs the week that the world shut down, was literally flying back as the airports were emptying out.
The impression I got, was that they pivoted towards some projects that had been on the back-burner, because Covid gave everyone a 'breather' where they could explore some idea/projects that wouldn't normally be possible otherwise.
Anyone with the means should get these while you can, because it's hard to envision a scenario where Tom has two years to focus on something like this.
I work in tech IRL, and right now everyone is canceling initiatives and projects that were cooked up during the pandemic, projects which would have only happened due to the unique circumstances of the time. Feels like right now, all the big companies are hunkering down and focusing on profit centers.
One last thing - I've been selling AV gear all my life (not for a job, I just like buying new gear) and I've ALWAYS got the best return on investment on items that are hard to find. The Summas were a great example of this. When I bought them, I thought it was a "splurge" and I accepted the fact that I might not be able to sell them EVER, because Earl's customers were definitely more interested in the low end of his product line. I didn't buy Earl's top speaker because I wanted his best speaker, I bought his best speaker because nobody else was and there was a waiting list months long for the affordable stuff.
In the end, it worked out really well, because people started reaching out to buy them off me, as soon as Early stopped accepting orders. I think that his customers figured they could buy a set whenever they wanted, and once that changed, all of the existing ones became collectible.
