I have a Denon AVR-X1800H, and would like to try running a phantom centre to see how it affects the imaging and clarity of my front soundstage. Currently running a speaker configuration of 7.1. Does anyone know, if I simply go into speaker configuration and select “none” for centre channel, will this retain my current Audyssey calibration, or will it reset everything to default? I’d like to try toggling back and forth to compare centre vs. phantom centre, but obviously this is not ideal for A-B comparison if I have to repeat the calibration procedure each time I switch.
