Time to vote. Where should Amir spend his testing resources?

Do you want more stringent amp testing or more speakers tested?

This is fairly easy. If everyone with extra cash laying around (a lot of you), sends Amir 1 to 5K of that cash, Amir will do a LOT more testing. He can put more effort in when making $100,000 a year. He can hire a couple of part time young bucks to lift and tote heavy floorstanders when setting them up with the Klippel. So everyone needs to send in the money!

PS, this public service announcement was brought to you by the Amir Fan Club members. Now, where's the money?:)
Did you clear any of those assumptions with him... or his family? What makes you think that he has a lot more time, to do "a LOT more testing"? I suspect his time is finite and he stated (have you read any of this thread where this has been posted a few times?):
"The bigger issue is the time constraint on me. I am currently not able to keep up with testing workload. I am constantly way behind in getting products tested. Do you want to see more speakers tested or have some semi-accurate thermal testing of amplifiers?"

Your fairly easy fix is a tone deaf assumption, since Amir's own words are the reason behind this poll. As stated before, I don't understand why people feel comfortable to assume other than his own words clearly express.

Why does this thread even exist? Does Amir want this feedback and if so why did he not start the thread himself, or even participate in it?

If you start at the beginning and read, you'll find that each of these is definitively answered, repeatedly, to your satisfaction without assumption or rogue intent.

This thread references a comment @amirm made in another thread asking what he should test. Amir has responded with a 'Like' to at least one of the postings on this thread

Yes. Without going back to cite each one, I think that he has liked 3 different posts, each quoting his intent, 4 if you count one from the FTC thread, which is where this poll was derived. https://audiosciencereview.com/foru...nts-on-output-power-claims.58972/post-2160790

If I was such, I would have already sent some of it, as I certainly believe that the work he does is more valuable than most.

I like that, no rogue intent. Thanks, and yes I think if I was a little more careful in my reading I would have seen the connections. Cheers.

I would vote for more speaker reviews, but that’s entirely dependent on members of this forum taking the first step and asking if they may ship him something for testing.

I’m kicking myself for not sending him the Sonos Arc I bought for the family’s summer spot. Curious how it would have measured.

This is great but, with respect, I don't see a banner under your avatar. ;)
At least I got a bit of respect! Sometimes I get none......

Are you a lawyer, doctor or engineer? I'm just wondering.

I assume that you're not one of the above, with your penchant for confident assumptions without evidence, symptoms or facts... in order of each profession's fundamental tools?

.
Wow, that post does have a lot of measurements! So much so that I felt it was info overload. But other than the monetization, the other major diff is that that the tester apparently just tests. Unlike Amir, who is tester, reviewer, owner, etc.

I would actually prefer a more concise test report. Perhaps just a technical summary with a fuller report available for those who want a deeper dive.
Sound stage is the traditional measurements goldmine.Just data.

Poets retire?!?
Why think that a poet, actor, musician or anyone doesn't choose to take a new path and retire from the present or past. Sometimes the juices stop flowing.

I wrote Haiku every day for 3 years... to the point that I was thinking in 17 syllables... then it was gone. Decades prior to that, I was a method actor and it drove me nuts... I retired from that and invested in real estate. After that... I moved to Vegas to play professional poker... and retired from that. So, I'm retired from all these things, but not a lawyer, doctor or engineer, as if those are the only 3 assumptions that @Spkrdctr was sure applied, they did not... lol.

I guess if I picked one of my other past endeavors to be retired from that's ok, but not poet? Is that so?

If Bill can read Hamlet... then I can take his advice... when "thy own self" is a poet... one MUST be a poet... lol...

When their muse decides to hitch-hike out of town.
Every muse moves on... according to Maxwell's 2nd Law of Thermodynamics... the nature of things is to flow from hot to cold... even muses don't mess with Maxwell... lol. Note: Maxwell's favorite poet was Robert Burns. His favorite poem of Burn's was "Comin' thro the rye"... which was also the inspiration for the title of JD Salinger's (retired after 4 books) unknown trifle... "Catcher in the Rye". Gotta love it when life gives you an opportunity to mention Maxwell, Burns and Salinger in a single science based forum post... lol.

Speaking of the Second Law...
I preached a sermon on thermodynamics one Sunday this past summer when our pastor & family were on summer vacation.
Which is not as weird theologically as it might seem.

Makes me want to quote Bob Dylan:

Well my heart's in the highlands, with the horses and hounds
Way up in the border country, far from the towns
With the twang of the arrow and a snap of the bow
My heart's in the highlands
Can't see any other way to go
