This measurement is only valid over 500Hz. It shows the frequency response of the Surveyor On and Off axis. 0‘ 15´ 30´ 60´
the measurements are slightly offset in level for better visibility

You have to add 9dB for the on axis measurement. I used Praxis with the mic. in 1m. Praxis normalizes to 1V instead of 1W. That is 2,83V into 8 Ohm. The Surveyor is an approx. 4 Ohm design though.
in my book that is 86dB 4 Ohm. That is a little under the usual. On the other hand the Surveyor plays louder that I can stand. We used a variety of amplifiers and the Benchmark AHB2 is a good match. It starts to audibly distort though before the speaker gIves up. With other amps that have double that power I can play even louder but that is superfluous

I asked my guys in the lab how they made the distortion measurements. It was done at 90dB. At this moment it is unclear if they strored the measurements. That’s not a big deal because I will do the distortion measurements again my way and post it here. When everything rund fine you have it in 24 hours.

Could you ask them to send you screen shots instead of photos of the monitor?

@Joachim Gerhard I have only one word WOWTHATISREALLYFU#$%#GOOD but .... what is that negative spike at the impulse and step response?

The Step response is the result of a second order L/R filter seldom used. That has 180degr. Phase rotation @ 20kHz.

I my book the 24dB octave L/R filter ( the most popular filter today ) is 4th order.
On the other hand some people call it L/R second order. I do not know who started that but I find it confusing.
The filter in the Surveyor is an L/R second order ( 12dB Octave ). I will try to explain the resulting Step response later.
I just came home from a busy day and need some rest. The waterfall was done simply in my lab and contains room effects. You would see the advantage it has compared to L/R 4 done under the same conditions. I will commend on this over time.

I think this is a super-cool video, it pinpoints a lot what I am looking for. In so many of these demos and shows, guys play ”music” that no one ever listen to, just to the point of demonstrating what speakers can do, to me that’s just turnoffs. I am looking for that ultra experience.

(and of course, vinyl playing)

this is nice :p

Interesting point and really wonder your meaning when you say: no one ever listen to .
Though Michel Jonasz is not my first taste, he is a well estimated singer in France ...
