Hi everyone, I know it's a very old and unsupported player, but I decided to post it here because maybe someone has already experienced this problem and managed to find a solution. I have a FIIO X7mkII and I have always used TIDAL normally, in version 2.29.1. For a silly minute I decided to do a factory reset on the player, I installed the TIDAL APK and unfortunately I can't open TIDAL. As you can see in the video, when I click on login, a screen appears verifying the device, and then I am directed to a screen where after some time I have to prove that I am not a robot by solving a captcha. Unfortunately here I get into a loop, when solving the captcha it always returns to the same screen asking me to prove that I'm not a robot. I also tried listening for the numbers and entering them instead of dragging the puzzle piece, but when I enter the numbers it stays on the same screen and I am not prompted to enter login details. I tried installing older versions and it generates the same problem. One thing I noticed is that when trying to log in to the tida website through the standard X7 browser, it generates a certificate error. If I try to log in using Google Chrome, I can log in, despite it being slow. The impression I have is that when trying to run the Tidal app, the default browser opens in the background, which is not compatible and thus generates this endless problem. So if anyone has had this problem and found a solution other than buying another updated DAP lol, I would love to hear it, as I wasn't looking to buy another one for now, my DAP is very new.
Any help is welcome, thank you in advance.

You’d be far better served by asking/messaging Fiio directly on headfi as the engineer/techs are on there everyday

Thank you very much for the tip, friend, I'll try it there.

The email address for Fiio support is [email protected] , they are usually very quick in responding to issues.

I’ve had a quick browse of the Fiio x7 mkii threads and you may have to enter developer mode to enable tidal, but be aware that older devices can sometimes be locked out of access to apps due to security concerns

Good luck,

Thanks, I'll send a message to Fiio support. I tried the developer options but it didn't work. In fact, I'm almost certain that the problem isn't with Tidal specifically, but with the device's default Android browser. I tried to access the Tidal page via browser, and it gave me a certificate error. Using Google Chrome, I was able to log in to the site. Unfortunately, there's no way to make Chrome the default browser to try to run the Tidal app. Even disabling the default browser didn't work. I'll look into options, and if I can solve the problem, I'll post here.
