a few of the bands on the trinnov alt 32 , stormaudio has few extra bands or PEQ that can be typed in and centre on around frequency and with few extra other filters to get te task done ? frequency response is so what , i did a similar using some i think PEQ on the behringer FBQ 2496 with DCX 2496 few months ago and then i deleted all the settings
the speaker/subs-infer at end of the day can manage 7Hz then slowly slopping dropping off due to mechanical design of the JBL parts , also the B-chain processor mode shows 12dB roll-off that's typical , and when checking with the behringer NX amp that also showing another low pass filter is rolling-off the lows at or below starting 20Hz , if i only had schematic diagram of that NX amp and where the filter is located i will de-solder remove it and bridge the circuit or fit a toggle switch on the NX

JBL subs freq sweep Eq filters this around feb 2026

so i ether spent bit extra at it yester-no-day

also mic is positioned behind first row seat , where mic feb was positioned centred around middle front row seat

so yester-no-day i managed it with a slight extension to 7Hz not that i can hear it , i can see it , i can sense a sine wave strange pressure in the room that i have my hand scratching my head as these sort of tones we don't commonly hear in the real world unless manufactured

this has few ripples in it but honestly i don't care but still has ripples where i did it few months ago was a bit smoother

How come you do your sweeps around 60 or 70dB at listening position? That seems quite low SPL to me?

because unlike all those that have bass-ego doing it at deafening levels , i like to conduct it at lower ( and if one ? can't hear it there hearing must be knackered ? ) lol
it can if i care to reach a fraction over 120dB but i don't care for 5.1 the spy who loved me , load torpedoes , match , fire ! at the bow of the stromberg oil tanker bow doors , several years ago with a single 4645 that vibrated the concrete floor a kinder , shimming flex vibration at 120dB just on that LFE.1 ,

i rather find 100dBc to short peak 110dBc be satisfactory but the whole 5.1 or lousy atmos has lousy for dolby labs for mxing engineers psychoacoustics the bass doesn't seem to be in correct location proportions , most home theatre people doubt do a sound rehearsal take few hours or even if its a few days before that " get-together demo "

Ok, cool, the SPL is there if you need it.

yeah the SPL is there and ( safety SPL for hearing ) waant to be able least to hear another day ? no sense in extreme high SPL to slowly damage hearing , ( for the sake of trying for to feeling it ? ) if done careful tuning frequencies so they are not harsh on the ear but can feel it , ( thou feeling in the chest is unrealistic ) never have i noticed that happening with daily day real world sounds , ( expect for certain rare events rare like , vulcan bomber at an air-show 2015 last appearance of the aircraft , sounded like those raw engines of a saturn v rocket felt yes in the chest )

The JBL 4645C subs are impressive. I am on the hunt for one myself, or the 4645B.

The JBL 4645C subs are impressive. I am on the hunt for one myself, or the 4645B.
if you can find them in your regional area ? there are some about ebay usa , bare in mind , some distance is needed in large auditoriums or rooms there is front row seating many meters away from the screen/speakers in the home its a lot shorter and doesn't matter the speaker/sub is a 40Hz sine wave should be very strong feeling felt on the body , some portions may sound too loud on the ear ( not good ) have any of the home theatre overrated priced subs still laws of sound physics apply , yes go look for JBL 4645B i heard/felt those in few cinemas odeon screen 6 star wars jar jar binks SR-D , UCI early 2000's one of smaller screens with mission to mars

mild level with mission to mars
jar jar binks , just a mess with the sound system set-up the twin duel 4645B overwhelmed bass of the screen channels LCR bass , foley was weak , sound effects weak , there was a bass that i cab hear but feel , no , the subs gain level should have been if ( not matters now cinema is closed ) should have subs , stage channels within +-2dB , maybe levels were matched at UCI , , when i worked at UCI '89 no subs installed thou was required for Dolby SR soundtracks

don't get too carried away stage channels have to put out decent amount of bass , that takes hours if not days of trail and error tuning for performance and most soundtracks may need a ( sound rehearsal ) which is not i say , not any home theatre owners around even practice , they dive in the deep end and it sounds dreadfully misaligned , nobody wants to hear a home theatre as mega sub bass boom box like a cheap car audio system , otherwise sub bass can easily frequency mask stage channel bass or vice versa ? stage channel bass freq can easily mask the sub its there as most of its freq is within the same freq range as the stage bass , just has a different mix on the LFE.1 , idea is the two signals work together and support the reproduction of the soundtrack

JBL 4645B be around £500 or under is expected but its a discontinued model , remember the rule for home , it takes two subs to tango , one at front one behind or two in front m two behind and freq be smoother and gain level still applies has to be within +- 2dB tolerance of the centre channel a real proper JBL cinema , not a small home theatre dink centre speaker , that's not how it works

enjoy the search :)

be tested shortly for signs of laser-rot and maybe tested against dvd for soundtrack with spectrum lab

trying with trinnov auto-Eq a few minor adjustment to stage left HF i address that later as i know what is going on

it appears do an okay on sw

i'll have to add the extra channel/surrounds for proper Dolby Stereo as the setting previous ( preset theatre mode ) was overwritten

mic was few degrees off target , would help i guess if the red dot led was replaced with a red laser beam so i know its on target ,, i noticed when i took the pictures m as when i set it checked with spirit-level water bubble is centred , the elevation showed speakers ( no they are all at same height level behind the screen ) but a red laser would help if the mic is altered and new ones sent to trinnov owners for free , or i could open it up and see if a small laser module would fit inside or attach a laser to the mic

have tiny laser modules was going to use these for project that i never did , i wonder if it would fit inside the trinnov mic but i guess the PCB circuit board would be in the way making it not possible , or could fit to outside but would have to be spot on or just don't bother with the idea
